From the Principal

"Kucera will provide a high quality education that prepares all students to be productive contributing members of society".

Kucera Families,

We are on the move to an API of 800, the state's accountability expectation for student improvement toward scoring proficient or advanced in ELA and math.  Our current API is 754. We just completed the STAR Assessment April 26 and April 27 for makeups.  Thank you so much for your assistance by sending your student daily.
Kudos to our awesome PTSA!  PTSA supported testing by providing daily incentives to students.

Our counseling program with California State University, San Bernardino is held on scheduled Saturdays a month. We recently added Wednesdays 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. If your student or family needs counseling, the services are free. You can show up on scheduled Saturdays or you can call and make sure you have an appointed time for your needs. We also have the Graduate School of Psychology providing counseling on Thursdays starting at 4:00pm.

Celebrate learning this year with your student and plan to get involved positively. Parents/Guardians if you ever have a question or concern please contact the teacher, counselor, Middle School Administrator, Assistant Principal, or the principal. We are here to work together for the success of your student. I have an open door policy.

Our sports program is back for the 2011-2012 school year. Track started April 21.  All meets are held at Rialto High School.

Please join Kucera as we maintain our focus on academic improvement for every student and a health and fitness focus. Students and their families should eat well balanced meals, exercise, and have adequate rest so they are ready to dream, work, and achieve their potential each day.

Kucera Middle School is committed to providing a safe, productive learning environment that promotes high academic achievement, good citizenship, and healthy personal character development. Students are both supported and challenged daily as they learn grade level academic standards. Students are developing improved vocabulary skills so please review their academic vocabulary with them each night.

Students that experience a conflict of any kind must be responsible and report it to a security officer, a counselor, or an administrator who will take the time to help the student resolve the conflict appropriately. We need parents to communicate their high expectations to their student and encourage their student to always make appropriate and safe choices to avoid unwanted consequences.

Students that need a safe place to complete homework and learn grade level standards should enroll in our After School Program that is facilitated by THINK Together. Pick up an application or have your student bring home an application. Space is limited.
